What you need to know to take
good care of your new tattoo. |
You should keep the bandage two to four hours;
then remove it gently with a bit of soap and
water. Then rinse it well. Pat lightly with
a dry piece of cloth.
Then, follow this for two weeks:
NO more bandages
NO vaseline or petroleum products
NO hydrogen peroxide or alcohol
NO picking, rubbing or scratching
NO immersing in water
Getting a shower is okay.
You may use an over-the-counter anti-biotic
ointment (Neosporin) two to three times a day
for four or five days; after that,
just use lotion (Lubriderm).
You MUST wash your hands before
applying anything to your fresh tattoo.
If you develop a rash, irritation or
redness, discontinue all products
and call us for a check up.
